UPDATED: LADIES AND GENTLEMEN COLOUR OF IVY HAS BEEN UPDATED! www.mirrorwoodcomics.com/Colou…

'Colour of Ivy' is my Psychedelic Fantasy Saga, and has been with me a very long time, but not many people know about it. It was way back in October 1996 when I first wrote the title down on a piece of paper and drew some of the characters. A lot has changed since then. Scrips, characters, locations, and of course my artwork. 20 Years later I am finally happy enough with the script and my artwork that I feel I can create the graphic novel that I have always dreamed of reading. The only thing that hasn't evolved is the original magic that I felt as a teenager whenever I would dig deep into my imagination and get lost in the COI world.

The online version of Colour of Ivy will be rated - Not Safe For Work. NSFW.

Cheers. You can see sample pages on the site. Or to follow along it's just $1 per month minimum. Eventually it'll be 600 pages long. Takes time though. About 11 hours per page.

Sauron or the OverLord?

When I created him 20 years ago, I had no idea who Lord Sauron was. He was originally inspired by the Black Rabbit of death from Watership Down.

Were they good, bad or ugly?

Is a good movie, but maybe too dark for kids... but in retrospective, animation was the most accesible only method you could present a "fantastic movie", as this, The Last Unicorn, or The Flight of Dragons, if you wanted to represent that fantasy, you could use imagination or stop motion.

I would agree. Although I first watched it when I was 4-5, and it really means quite a lot to me. It deals with the subject of death and mortality. So yes, it's definitely strong stuff. There were a lot of movies like that, Fire and Ice, Heavy Metal. In my opinion, they were great times for expression.

It's always nice to get back to a project that you loved but haven't touched for a long time.
It's also exciting to see one come so far that you've put so much into ^.^

Definitely. It's a releif too...- I used to have this rash on my drawing hand, it came along around 2000 ish Then, when I started working on the pages for COI back in 2015 it started to disappear. Now I'm working on it just about every day, the rash has completely cleared up. I was building up so much cortisol in my system by just putting it off. :)

LOL
You collected a rash from "Ivy"
That proves it. Never bottle up anything ^.^

BTW, been totally getting into that new-ish "Supergirl" tv series.
It's actually pretty good.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. If you'd still like to donate you can sign up with patreon and set it up for a $ per month, then get 20 months of reading out of it. Or just donate the straight fee through Paypal. Thanks for your consideration.
