I found out a little something about myself recently. Something that's a little hard to keep a lid on. A few months ago I hit a psychological and physical state known as, "Burn Out" it's nothing to be proud of or anything, in fact, it's really not healthy. My problem is I find it really hard, nay, near impossible to relax. There are probably quite a few of you out there with the same problem. It seems to be more and more common in this day and age. You always have to be doing something that feels like you're progressing. The trouble is, you actually just end up stressing yourself out to the point that progress becomes slower than ever.

Well, today I noticed that I was starting the horrible old cycle back up again. So I stopped, and whatever I was planning to do this evening, I just totally forgot about it. Strangely enough, the world hasn't ended. So I turn my attention to another one, the world of Final Fantasy. (BTW that little voice in the back of your head that usually butts in at this point and says, "Stop daydreaming and go back to the real world, you have work to do!" you just have to tell it to shut up.)

You see Final Fantasy is one thing that relaxes me, yet somehow makes me feel like I'm progressing. It must be something to do with levelling up, going through the narrative, saving the planet from extinction. Or maybe, the triumphant anthem that plays every time your party wins a battle. Whatever it is, I've decided that it's a very positive thing that I enjoy and forces me to relax. The levelling up draws me in and the magical stories lull me into a peaceful state.
But I just can't play Final Fantasy every evening without turning it into some kind of extra challenge, uh unh.

I have to have it make more work for me in some kind of way...
This is the challenge. I'm going to play each of the main FF games right to the end (not including the online ones) starting with the first, I'm going to allow myself about 2-3 hours a day of chill out time to do this in. And as I complete each one I will put together a piece of Final Fantasy Fan Art to celebrate. - Sound cool, or a bit obsessive? Screw it, I'm gonna do it, and I challenge anyone else who's willing to do it too.
Here's a snapshot of my collection, wish me luck in chilling out -

In Annyseed news- -Jan/14/2013-
Although I will continue to write Annyseed, we most likely will have a brand new penciler, inker and possibly colorist on board for the Annyseed sequel, to help lighten up my load and showcase their talent. I shall keep you all posted as things progress. Also, big thanks to my wife

for creating my new Annyseed Avatar
