Fell asleep way too early and woke up at 2:00AM so I thought I'd paint a dream I had when I was 5-6 or something like that. Just rough at the moment, used real cards in this sketch to save time. Might finish it, gotta get back to course work now though... after a bit of porridge. I imagine the theme tune to Tales of the Unexpected to be playing - [link]

I can see that, maybe he drunk from the decanter and it shrunk him. :)

I figured it out. It was all the game shows that mum and dad watched when I was a rug rag. The character is small, like I was and the cards and curtain are part of the show, and the emerald decanter and glass is one of the prizes. Or it could just be a wild psychedelic alternate reality, as dreams often are.

I might do more of these. There was a nightmare I had when I was a kid; I was painting that over Halloween, but run out of time.

Tales of the Unexpected?, is it as a British version of the Twilight Zone?

lol, Sort of, but less in the zone and more in the real world. It was written and introduced by the late, great, Roald Dahl. The theme tune was a common feature in my childhood as it would play every sunday night while my mother did the ironing and I was dreading school. Here's a great episode [link] Galloping Foxely.

So thatĄs the legendary Roald Dahl, the creator of Willy Wonka. He's the third personality that I never expected to hear his voice while I was alive (the other two were Walt Disney and the Dr. Seuss).

This episode makes me remind why I hated school, and not was because of the classes, but because of the other students.

Yep, You tube is good for hearing Disney's, don't think I've heard Dr.Seuss though.
Yeah, me too. Kids can be horrible, some of the teachers weren't exactly pleasant in my school either. :S I feel really bad for him at the end.
